Electric stairchair transportation combines two services into one coordinated trip: stairchair assistance to help a patient safely descend (or ascend) stairs in their home, followed by NEMT transport to their medical appointment. The electric stairchair itself is a motorized chair device that a trained operator places alongside the staircase. The patient is positioned in the chair, secured safely, and carried up or down the stairs under controlled power. It is quiet, smooth, and designed specifically to keep the patient comfortable and protected throughout the movement. Patients do not have to attempt stairs while fatigued, in pain, or unsteady — and family members do not have to attempt dangerous manual carries.

Once at ground level, transport begins in our NEMT vehicle to your medical appointment. After your visit, we return you home and assist you back up the stairs the same way.
